RIP tumblr.

I’ve had this blog for 8.5 years. It was the first place I was brave enough to share my nude self portraits. It has helped me grow in more ways than I can say. Sure, it has been an enormously frustrating place at times, but without the community I found here of wonderful, talented, weird and brilliant artists I’ve met here (both online and in person) there’s no way I’d have the confidence to make the kind of images I do these days.

This was the last place on the internet where I could share my work uncensored and for free. I hate having to hide my work behind censorship or a paywall, but I’m pretty much out of options now. I’ll be letting my queue run down for a few more days then I’ll be closing this page.

You can find my uncensored work on my patreon page - I’m not allowed to post anything NSFW publicly but I do post daily for all patrons (no matter how low the pledge)

Otherwise you can find my censored images on my instagram

Thanks for keeping me company all these years. Rest assured that I’m never going to stop making art with naked folks.

Nudity is not obscene.

Sexuality is not shameful.

Shame on you tumblr. Bring on the tumbleweeds.

Just a heads up that I’m giving Ello a try - please come and join me over there!

Obviously I’m starting again from scratch so there aren’t many posts yet, so if you want to see my archive of work you’re still better off heading over to my patreon page.

Well to miss quote " Thats all Folks" I feel very sorry and sad that Tumblrs like your beautiful blog are going to disappear and for the life of me I dont get the rational outside of a knee jerk reaction and probably pressure from sponsors. I agree there should be no shame in nudity but sadly it seems the admin folks dont agree so all the beautifully curated Tumblrs look set to disappear. Thank you so much for your amazing work and your williinges to share it with us all, its been a priviledge. asked by sexualfunction2

Unfortunately this is a trend happening across the web thanks to the FOSTA & SESTA acts that passed in the US earlier this year making internet companies liable for content posted by their users that might (however tenuously) be linked to sex trafficking. Because the language in the bills is so vague many companies (like tumblr) have made sweeping changes to their terms of service massively restricting if not banning sex workers, NSFW artists and anyone who could potentially be argued as having anything to do with sex trafficking.

It must be said that whilst this situation is frustrating and saddening for me, I am far from the worst affected by it. Sex workers who have relied on online services to find and screen clients and share bad date lists with other sex workers have had all of those services ripped away. As a result they are now more at risk from dangerous clients, pimps and (ironically enough) the very sex traffickers that the bill is supposed to protect them from. It’s utterly infuriating.

Thanks so much for your kind words and well wishes. You’ll still be able to find my uncensored work on my patreon page or my censored work on my instagram, so please come join me elsewhere if you can.

The 17th of December, Tumblr will cease to exist as we all like it. Nudity and sexuality is apparently considered harmful by Tumblr. That means a goodbye from me. I detest censorship like that and I will unsupport it wherever I meet it. I choose the freedom to censor for my self. But where will you move to share your art? I'd like to follow you where you go, when I close down my Tumblr account. Please take a brief moment to share what un-censoring photo platforms you will move to? asked by textpistol

I know, I’m just so exasperated by it all.

I’m currently weighing up my options as to whether I try opening a new blog on another platform, but for now you can find all my uncensored work on my patreon page, where I post daily for all patrons (no matter how low the pledge). Unfortunately I’m unable to post my uncensored work publicly there due to restrictions put upon them by their payment processors (i.e. Paypal et al), but at least they make the effort to help NSFW artists to still use the platform, rather than just blanket banning everything.
