Print sale/general life update
In addition to getting requests for this print, I also had a request for the above photograph, so I did a set of prints of this one too. Again there are 10 in total (although one has gone already), hand darkroom printed silver gelatin photographs on 8x10” paper, signed and numbered, going for £45 + shipping. And again if you would like one please drop me a message in my ask box, or email me on selinamayerphotographs@gmail.com
A life update from the previous post:
“As some of you may be aware, for the last year I have been working on a book of photographs and stories from my three month US road trip in 2011, titled This Land Was Made For You And Me. This was due to be published this summer by an independent magazine, but for a multitude of reasons we have recently parted ways. Although this is the right path to take (I’m looking into other publishers, or perhaps even self publishing if I can get the funding) it is rather unfortunately timed, as I have also recently become unemployed. On the plus side I am no longer being worn down by a quite frankly horrible day job that was making me utterly miserable, leaving me with more time to focus on my own projects and take up interesting collaborations and opportunities, but on the downside it has left me with the glaringly unavoidable question of how on earth I am going to pay the rent. So if you do want a print (and I really hope you do), you would literally be helping me keep a roof over my head so I can keep making work.”
If there are any other photographs of mine that you would like a print of that I don’t post about please don’t hesitate to let me know and I’ll be more than happy to accommodate!
A note on how I do editions of prints: This isn’t a “limited edition” in the strictest sense, as these will mostly likely not be the only prints I make of this photograph. I prefer to treat my editions like editions of a book - these are the first edition as it were, and if I were to print this photograph again the prints would be markedly different, perhaps a different size, a different paper, slightly different tonal balance, and so on.
If you feel like sharing this post I would appreciate it, but please don’t feel any sense of obligation to.
Thank you!

And there’s a couple of these left too!

Print sale/general life update
Hello all
In the wake of this photograph becoming (entirely unexpectedly!) rather popular I got a few requests for prints, so I decided to print a set and put them up for sale. There are 10 in total (although a few have gone already), hand darkroom printed silver gelatin photographs on 8x10” paper, signed and numbered, going for £45 + shipping. If you would like one please drop me a message in my ask box, or email me on selinamayerphotographs@gmail.com
Further to this, I thought I’d give a little update on what’s going on with me at the moment, as I don’t tend to talk much. As some of you may be aware, for the last year I have been working on a book of photographs and stories from my three month US road trip in 2011, titled This Land Was Made For You And Me. This was due to be published this summer by an independent magazine, but for a multitude of reasons we have recently parted ways. So if you do want a print (and I really hope you do), you would literally be helping me keep a roof over my head so I can keep making work.
I will be posting another set of prints shortly, and if there are any other photographs of mine that you would like a print of that I don’t post about please don’t hesitate to let me know and I’ll be more than happy to accommodate!

lunastrigodesign asked: Hi, your work is amazing. I love the atmosphere of your photos. I just want to ask... If its not a secret...what you take photos with...which camera? Bye Luna

Hi Luna, thanks so much for your kind words! I actually list the camera I use each time I post a photo - my favourite at the moment is my Mamiya RZ67, but I also use my Canon EOS5 a fair bit too. I do use other cameras occasionally, but those are my main two at the moment.
